A second booking is shorter to write than a first, but not by as much as people expect. The four facts are the same, the arrival window is the same, and the deposit rule changes for exactly one kind of booking.
Regulars sometimes open with a single line, a name and a time, and wait for the rest to be filled in from memory. It rarely works. Rooms change between trips, lengths change, and the old thread may already have been cleared. A return message that repeats the essentials is confirmed in one exchange rather than four.
The four facts a return booking still carries
Where you are this time. The district, the building or the street, and the room number when you have it. Even a guest who stays at the same place every trip should say so in words, because the thread is read by whoever is answering, not by someone who remembers you.
When. Which day, and what hour by the Amsterdam clock. Same day or a later date matters more for a returning guest than for anyone else, because it decides whether a deposit applies.
How long. Sixty minutes, ninety, two hours, three, or the eight hours of an overnight.
Who. A name from the roster, or the kind of evening you want if no name comes to mind. If you booked before, a line saying when helps: the month and the year are enough.
The one booking paid entirely on arrival
A client the house has looked after before, asking on the day for one or two hours at an address in central Amsterdam, settles the whole fee when she arrives. Nothing goes ahead. That is the only booking on the site that works this way, and it is the thing most regulars mean when they say booking again is simpler.
Everything else keeps the half deposit, returning client or not: a booking made more than twenty-four hours ahead, an overnight, two therapists, a Schiphol or airport hotel room, a peak date, and any session of three hours or more. A guest who fixes Thursday's two hours on Tuesday sends half of that two hour fee first. The same guest writing on Thursday afternoon for Thursday evening sends nothing. How a deposit travels, when there is one
By card, or by Revolut, Wise or crypto, to details that appear only in the confirmed thread. Never by bank transfer and never by PayPal. The balance, or the whole fee on a same-day return booking, is settled at the door. What is kept on a cancellation follows the notice you give: nothing more than twenty-four hours ahead, half the deposit inside the last day while she has not set out, the whole deposit once she is on her way. A same-day booking with no deposit costs nothing to cancel before she leaves and only the journey share once she has.
After the reply
The reply confirms the name, the figure and a window of forty to sixty minutes for a central address. One word from you settles it. Have the room ready at the near end of the window, keep your phone where you can hear it, and have a photo document to hand in case she asks: everyone in the room has to be twenty-one or over.
