Peak date: when the door rule steps aside
A peak date is a busy period such as King's Day, Pride, the Amsterdam Dance Event, Christmas to New Year or a large conference week, when half goes ahead.
On a handful of dates each year the city fills and evenings are harder to rearrange at short notice. On those dates every booking carries half the fee ahead, same day or not, returning client or not.
Which dates
- King's Day, at the end of April.
- Pride, which spans the end of July and the start of August.
- The Amsterdam Dance Event, held each autumn.
- The days from Christmas to New Year.
- Large conference weeks, which the house names when asked.
What does not change
The figures. A peak date adds nothing to the rate; an hour in Pride week costs what the same hour costs in February. Only the way it is paid changes, with the deposit taking the place of payment at the door.
For regulars
A quarterly or annual trip that lands on one of these dates is better booked from home, because diaries fill early and waiting brings no payment advantage. If unsure, ask in the thread whether a date counts.
